WHY IBD THAN ASSET MANAGEMENT? (or Why Asset Management than IBD?)

Very Simple, Straightforward question.

What should one say when asked

"Why do you want to do IBD than Asset Management?"

I could definitely draw some good lines between IBD and S&T (both-ways)

but this combination seems bit tricky.

I would say that I want to be in the deal-oriented environment of IBD and that advising companies on strategic and financial issues (M&A, Capital Raises) interests me more than managing their investments.
