Career Resources
This is like saying its surprising software engineers are CS majors
Not really, seen a wider spread of maths, physics, engineering majors also in SWE
The bias towards econ / business was like 94% on the floor
they're all direct/adjacent majors to the job bro
The people most likely to pursue investment banking are finance majors or those who majored in the closest thing to finance possible at their respective universities (which is economics at most ivies). There are very few, relatively, non finance/econ majors interested in IB/PE. The other thing is that finance/econ majors are far more likely to stick around in the broad IB or PE ecosystem than humanities or STEM majors.
Are you retarded? Why is finance predominantly dominated by people who majored in finance or something finance-adjacent? Think for 2 seconds…
Why is everyone in the NFL big, strong and fast? lol
What did you expect, History?
I was expecting a range of subjects e.g. business / economics, humanities, sciences etc.
Every person bar maybe one or two were pure copy and paste economics on the floor
