It is grossly misrepresented.

EDIT: And before you hit me with the passive aggressive "SOURCE?"

Read between the lines of this biased passage. It's the least biased I can find. https://www.tulsahistory.org/exhibit/1921-tulsa-race-massacre/

Essentially black vs white protests turn into fights between mobs. It wasnt mean wypipo decided they hated that black people had munnies and dum wyte raysis were poor and stupid like your college says.

  • A black guy rides in an elevator with a white woman, allegedly something happens
  • He's arrested but a white mob storms the courthouse, stimulated by a sensationalist media report
  • Blacks had to retreat from said mob
  • Greenwood looted and burned by white rioters. Vigilantes detain blacks.
  • Governor declares martial law, and national guard comes in.
  • 6,000 blacks are interned (all of them), including those the national guards separated from vigilantes.
  • Greenwood destroyed and 300 ppl died

This is from your source and you're alleging this wasn't a racial incident? This was literally a race riot stimulated by the classic black dude/white woman rag. It's a textbook racial incident, right down to the angry white mob. Are you an idiot? Don't answer that. Your post answers that.

Weird for you to leave out lots of facts. How do you explain the hundreds of whites killed? What was the purpose of leaving that part out of the story? On what basis do you claim that the woman is a liar?

Also, you left out who stormed the courthouse. You cite white mobs several times, but no mention of black mobs. Just a bizarre comment.

Because U.S. history (and history in general), especially in high schools, is told in a way that papers over the atrocities whites have historically committed on other races (and even themselves). It's also told in a way that elevates white accomplishments and diminishes the accomplishments of others. I mean, Andrew fuckin' Jackson is still on the $20 bill...

Lol @ “papers over”.

The US is OBSESSED with talking about racism, showing racism, telling stories about racism, blaming things on racism, etc., far, far more than just about any other country in the world.

The idea that white-on-black racism is somehow downplayed is insane. Every single incident of white-on-black racism is broadcast endlessly across all forms of media. People even fabricate fake attacks from whites just to gain notoriety.

Claiming victimhood at the hands of evil whites is basically a form of currency at this point, and you actually think this is somehow downplayed?

You're not worth my time.

Because how is that "American" history if a whole town of black people was more successful than its white counterparts? Doesn't fit the narrative of white-washed history.

Additional examples: Cincinnati Riots of 1829, Houston Riot of 1917, Orange Riots, Greek Town Riots, Thibodaux Massacre, and not to forget Bloody Monday in 1855.

How many of the above were you taught? History that is taught today is so full of shit that kids honestly don't know any better. If you really want to learn, research on your own.

So what happened? Why are blacks less well off today than back when their Wall Street was so booming? Are you saying that we are more racist in modern day? lmao
