Why M&A? Any advice?

I am interested in the M&A group at the bank where I have a generalist offer.

Besides the typical exit opportunities, I am interested due to the technical nature of the group, being able to work across different industries as I am not set on a single industry yet, and the group typically spends much more time on live deals vs pitches.

Are these fair reasons to want to work in M&A / Ok to tell team members this is why I want to join their group?

Can anyone offer any insight into why you chose M&A/have enjoyed the group besides the typical answers?

Thanks!
