Why SF? (Summer Analyst)

I'm working on an essay for a diversity program which asks why I want to work in SF. Quite frankly, I don't care where I land an IB gig as long as I can land somewhere.

To anyone who's worked in SF or successfully made the pitch – what drew you to SF and how did you pitch your perspective in a compelling way? I understand the answer is different for everyone but I'm curious to hear others' takes.

Thanks!

Walking over piles of shit in the streets and watching homeless people inject themselves with needles

It always worked for me to say that I'm exclusively interested in SF because it's the technology epicenter of the world. Sure, there are plenty of nice things to do in proximity to the Bay Area (can briefly mention something like surfing, snowboarding at Tahoe, etc.), but you're not moving across the country to go sightseeing in SF. You’re working almost all the time; the people and work have always been the top priority. This answer has always been well received for me
