Will I Get My SA Offer Rescinded?
So I currently have a IB SA offer from an EB in Chicago and they will doing the FINRA fingerprint next week.
However, when I was 16, I was arrested and charged with Robbery/Theft. I was completely innocent and was in the wrong place/time, so the charges were dismissed and reduced to a misdemeanor battery that I ended up not being convicted for after a deferred sentence.
Will my SA offer be revoked due to my criminal record? I’ve heard the FINRA fingerprint can even detect arrests, so I am very anxious about my firm looking at my charges and just rescinding the offer right before my start date.

How much did you loot?
Nothing actually. Someone else had looted and it was blamed on me.
You were with them at the time / knew them?

No one respond until he gives a proper summary of this supposed “wrong place, wrong time” larceny.
I was with a group of friends (from the wrong crowd) and 2 people who were with me stole from a convenience store and had a verbal altercation with the store owner after getting caught. We were all charged as “we are a part of the group”, which is what the store owner told the cops.
I’m not sure why you care so much about the story if the government itself has found that I haven’t stolen anything and reduced my charge to something I was not even convicted for.
Doesn’t FINRA only care about convictions and not simply arrests?
“Sounds” like you are fine.
You're good. similar situation but bigger charge (think felony) and had it dismissed. FINRA registered here.
Are you intentionally making your comment impossible to view?
Username checks out
would think it only matters for convictions? i could tell a cop i overheard you saying you’d kill someone and you’d be arrested for conspiracy to commit murder but if the charges were unfounded and then dropped it’d be silly for you to be screwed, similar line of logic here

Let me guess. Diversity candidate?
This is impressively fucked up for only five words
jesus christ
Look if it doesn’t fit, you must acquit.
I don’t think FINRA cares about theft unless it’s related to stocks and/or money, and even less so if you weren’t convicted. You’d maybe have to disclose at some point but yeah it probably wouldn’t cause any issues with them, or your bank. Was in a similar situation and even while being convicted, no issues with the bank. If this is actual robbery though, not sure.
