Will I have Spring Semester to raise my GPA for 2021 SA Apps?

Hi guys current soph getting reayd to apply for SA 2021. Unfortunately I think my GPA may not meet the requirements for most BB'S. I currently have a 3.6 but after this semester it may dip down to like a 3.4 =(

I was wondering if anyone knew when BB SA 2021 apps will open for next year? I heard some are in the spring some are in the summer. If some are in the summer, then I will have next semester to raise my GPA, but if not then I am probably screwed right?

Thanks

I am at a weak semi-target. Additionally, I think its worth mentioning that at every BB I apply to I have a connect that already said they will push my resume for me. (I networked very agressively because I know how competitive it is) . Also, will work experience make up for a poor GPA in the eyes of the interviewers? I did PWM at a BB and will have 2 botique ib internships lined up aswell.

Thank you for the response

For some banks, yes you will have time. GS/JP/MS/BAML/Barclays/UBS didn't really interview until the summer/fall. Same for some MM's and EB's like Roths/EVR.

Banks like CS/Citi/Lazard/PWP/Moelis etc will be interviewing in the spring for a good chunk (in some cases all) of their SA21 classes, but if you go to a target I don't think a 3.4 puts you out of contention at all (assuming you have resume pushes).

From my experience offers always initially gave 2 weeks to sign. If you ask for an extension it's common courtesy to give you up to an extra 2 weeks. I didn't do that though, some friends did so YMMV.

The kids that ended up going to the firms that recruited late either passed up on offers and took the riskor reneged.

Thank you for the response! Appreciate it. However my concern is that even if the interviews are in the summer or fall, don’t you initially apply in the spring? And I heard that you need to apply early too right when it opens. So by the time I get interviewed won’t they see my old GPA? The one I applied with? Or can I update it somehow?
