Will studying abroad this summer be a bad idea with regards to summer analyst recruiting?
Background: Sophomore at a non-target who will apply to 2020 IB SA positions.
Will studying abroad in Asia this summer for two months from May to June potentially screw me over?

I would expect interviews before the school year ends and networking to start around March.
That sucks - really wanted to go to Japan. Could anyone else vouch for this?
Definitely would not recommend going abroad during recruiting. Coming from a non-target, you need to take advantage of every networking opportunity and get on coffee chats. You can always go abroad junior year after you've landed a summer offer
