Wisconsin Economics for investment banking

Hey so I am a freshman waiting to see if I got into the bschool at Madison. I wanted to know that if I got rejected from the school, would I still have a shot at ibanking as an econ major? I am also in the investment banking club, which is the main thing that everyone says will help you get into investment banking from madison if you work hard. I wanted to know if this club was strong enough to help an econ major as well.
