Work During Break

Hi guys,

I am currently a junior in college and winter break is upon us pretty soon. Every break I've either worked or networked to get a summer internship and knowing that I already have one lined up for next summer, I was thinking about taking a break and enjoying the month off. However, the other option is to work part-time 2 days a week during the month break to get some extra cash. A lot of my friends are either working during the break or have other plans so I don't think I'll be seeing them as much as anticipated. I am leaning towards working part-time for the extra cash. If you were in my position, what would you guys do? Any opinions or advice is really appreciated!

In a similar spot as I already signed FT offer for next year. I agree can be kind of boring and spent my last winter break not doing much. My school also has extended intersession until end of Jan. so was extra problematic.

That being said I spent time at the gym and otherwise just relaxing and being present w friends and family but certainly had some boredom. I’m looking around for a serving or bartending job this winter just bc I think it could be fun and the industry is still kinda strapped. Idk if this helps but bartending/serving you can def make some extra money and have a good social life from what I’ve heard!

Yeah i don't want to be bored during the break. i know that ill definitely see friends and fam but working 2 days wont kill plus its only part time. I think it'll also help me keep my sleeping schedule in check

Currently doing a remote internship and working a retail job FT. It’s not fun but both can be done.

most likely what i'm going to do. It's prob gonna be 15 hours per week which is really light. Don't know what to buy but might look into new golf clubs
