Working Outside of Office
Are analysts at BB’s allowed to do work outside of the office and at home. For example on a weekend can you work at a cafe or if you are traveling can you work on like a plane or train? Just wondering how it works with the public wifi networks. Thanks
It depends on the specific company, but generally yes. Ofc companies aren't going to ask you to come into the office on weekends, but you can still put in remote work during those times.
So it’s not a big deal that you are on a public wifi network ? Thanks for the response
I mean this should be limited to only when traveling / necessary tbh. Dealing with MNPI in public spaces is a no no
You'll use a vpn
Senior bankers are on the road like 2/3 of the time and working from airports, coffee shops before meetings etc. So whatever the issue might be with public networks, they're safe enough to have become the norm.
I'd think wanting to have a proper work setup (dual monitors / keyboard / etc) would be more worth it than to work in a cafe, but yes as long as you connect to the company VPN you should be fine.
somewhat off topic but should SA23 interns plan on having a good work setup? Not sure how much I should be investing in it as it is only 10 weeks
