Working part-time before IB Analyst start date
Hey everyone, I was fortunate recently to secure a return offer for next year from my IB internship. I will be graduating a semester early (so I will be done pretty much by the end of November), but my start date isn't until next July.
I was interested in working a part time semester long internship (remote) at a small PE fund for a few months and then picking up little side gigs while traveling for another few months before I start. I was wondering if that would be ok from the bank's perspective and if that could cause any issues with my offer?
Would be the same if you got a part time internship during the semester. Shouldn’t be an issue

In the same boat. I'm waiting to return full time but got 10 days to find a job or I'm borrowing from a friend for rent.
Any luck finding what type of company hires kids like us? Meaning with IB internship, but leaving the firm we join for IB in 10 months (I'm guessing most companies don't like that)? I'd lowk settle for $20 an hour, but haven't had any luck getting even that yet.
Bump, in same boat. Have only found unpaid internships, seems hard to find something from Jan - June that's paid in the US
Get a job doing manual labor or customer interaction (work at a store). Doing some random finance internship won’t help you in life. Working with your hands or standing up on a shop floor for 12 hours will help a lot. If I look back my finance internships were by and large pointless in shaping my life, working manual made me a man.
You got soft hands brother, I worked 80 hour unpaid construction shifts between my internship and FT start. You’re probably a sissy liberal by the sound of it
