What happened in that case was the client said come hell or high water we're closing this deal before year end.... so literally no one slept until December 31 morning. Until then, there were about 4 of us living in the office for a week and a half and every MD/VP on the deal was constantly on the phone and faxing back marked up documents from Mexico, Colorado, Vermont, etc... Well, come morning of the 31st, we get a call from the client that they decided to close into the new year. Welcome to banking.
