Ok..... so.. the year is up, bonuses have been paid out... and I've been staffed on a monster deal which has to close before year end... what does that mean?
It means 18 hour days, 7 days a week. Working on xmas eve and prob taking e-mails and working from home a bit on xmas.
It is bringing in a ginormous fee, which probably doubles my pro-rata contribution to the firm(for 2008). BUT the deal happens to be on the taint of the bonus season. Not quite this year, and not quite next, so it did not come into play determining my bonus this year, and it will not come into play determining next year's bonus.
Something must be done! Anyone else ever find yourselves in this situation?

I think this is a good self assessment of what is to come. If anything I would imagine they would include this deal into next year's bonus season.
