Worried about study abroad impacting my return offer
Recently received an offer at an EB for SA 26 with typically high return rates. My parents are telling me not to do it because they are scared that, in this climate, studying abroad (in Cape Town, SA) doesn't give the impression of a very serious person.
For context, the university is ranked around 180th in the world. What do you guys think? Any chance having that on my transcript would affect a return in any way? I think it would be a really cool experience and doubt whether it would actually affect a return offer.
I know plenty of people who studied abroad before their summer internship and it had no impact. I can’t see why the bank would care.
Yeah I'm with you - parents more saying that Cape Town specifically isn't very serious, though I don't fully agree w them
