Worst thing you’ve heard / said during a networking call / coffee chat?

I recently took a networking call from a Sophomore who dates my old Coach’s daughter and currently goes to my undergrad alma mater (Extreme Non Target Liberal Arts School). He did a PWM internship at Raymond James (Got lucky and new the Advisor) and wants to go into “finance”. Anyway, after 10 min of generic bs, I simply asked what he enjoyed about his internship / finance in general, his reply, “Portfolio stuff...” When I asked him to elaborate a bit, I was met with an awkward silence...After this train wreck went on for 30 min, he asked for connections in the area, I mentioned an AM shop in the area where I knew people. After reaching out to my friends at the AM shop, turns out he already interviewed there and completely bombed..... it was such a train wreck, but I figure there has to be similar / worse stories.
