Worth undertaking?
I interviewed for an internship at a BB subset in private wealth management, but from the interview I got the idea that I was going to be more of a glorified secretary. Mainly just doing bullshit work rather than actually getting my hands dirty or having anything that would stand out as a resume experience.
My question is whether or not this is even worth undertaking? The only reason I am considering it is because of the BB name on the resume, but there are no guarantees that I would have any quantitative factors to add to a resume. It would be more along the lines of what an office secretary could put on a resume.
I am a to be junior and this is an internship that would last throughout the school year. I will be trying to get a summer internship next year in IBD somewhere.
Is it worth it?
It's an internship. Be happy that you even got considered. There are many interns who are worse off.
Its experience regardless, and shows that you can balance a part time job with a full school schedule. Of course take the internship.
take it, it will be 1000x easier to get a "good" internship with that BB next summer
