You wouldn't tell them you have an offer from JMP, You'd just tell them you have an exploding offer and you'd rather work at Nomura/Piper, as such you'd like to speed the process up. also if you're working in tech you're going to be in the bay and will have to deal with col/taxes. Tell JMP you're very pleased with the offer and just need a little more time before you make your decision.
