"You will be contacted shortly"
I applied for a position with a BB and recently checked the status of my application online. It said that "You will be contacted shortly." I'm not sure when the status of my application changed from received to that, but I applied for the position about a 5 weeks ago. How long does it typically take HR to contact you after receiving your application? I don't even know who I would follow up with. Thanks!
If I had to hazard a guess, I would say that you will be contacted shortly.
I'll hazard a guess and say this was credit suisse. I contacted them about this, and they said their system is buggy.

It's most banks way of saying your app. has been looked at and you're either in the maybe pile or that bank doesn't recruit on a rolling basis.
I heard back from a very similar message after about 4 months for an interview. I wouldn't spend too much time thinking about it, there's nothing you can really do now apart from somehow make a contact who could push it through faster.
