Your experiences with stress during IB - would love to hear your thoughts
Hi everyone,
I’m currently researching stress levels in investment banking and would really appreciate hearing about your experiences. Whether you’re currently working in IB, recently left, or are several years into your career, your perspective would be incredibly valuable.
I’m particularly interested in:
- What aspects of investment banking you found most stressful (e.g., workload, long hours, deal deadlines, client pressure, team dynamics).
- How stress affected you during your time in IB'
- Any strategies or habits that helped you manage it.
- Looking back, how you feel about the stress levels — manageable, overwhelming, or somewhere in between
- Whether you think firms or teams could do anything differently to reduce stress while maintaining performance
This is the wrong IB bro
Thank you for pointing that out....I realized I submitted the wrong set of questions. too many tabs open
