I was in a similar position. I just worked the same retail job I did the summer before and travelled.
I’d rather hear how you spent your summer in China, visited 5 national parks, coached tennis, worked at your local mini-golf place, ran a marathon or went to every Tiger’s home game before hearing about your random finance internship. As long as you do something, nobody will care. Plus it’s your last summer with no responsibilities.
