2020 Goldman Sachs Beyond the Classroom Risk & Accounting Thread
Recently, my application got considered for the program. Currently trying to get into the Beyond the Classroom: Risk program for the Dallas location.
I come from a non-target school and recently did my HireVue for them which was 1 question.
Wanted to see where is everyone else in the process and if they've had an early acceptances. If you did, would love to connect with you and share insight!
Did you complete the hirevue? How was it?
What was the question you were asked? I went to a similar program/expo last year and it was a very pleasant experience.
Question was pretty much explaining a time when I assessed a risk and the thought process behind it. Still waiting to hear back. Although very concerned about how GS is approaching this event considering the coronavirus.
The event is still happening. They sent emails to sign up for the first virtual conference next week . (If you were selected)
I completed a HireVue about a month ago and got an email today about the virtual conference. Just curious, do you think the event was still selective given that it has gone virtual?
I'm curious about others' opinion on the competitiveness of this event, too. It would be a bummer to hear that these emails mean nothing.
I got in and got an email yesterday for the virtual event. For reference the people who went last year to the in person event said that they were selected as a cohort of 40 out of 1,500 applicants. I wonder if it will give us an advantage moving into SA 2021 for credit risk.
there are like 300 people in the intro video meeting so I don’t think it’s selective
lol so true I was confused when I joined since I thought it would be like 10-20 people and it ended up being like 400 people
