A Tough Question to Answer - Looking for Some Advice

Need some advice here. Looking to go to a top MBA program in a few years and hope to one day be in a senior-level management role at a media/entertainment/tech company or investment firm down the road. Knowing this info, which role gives me the best chance of getting there.

Lead Strategy, Operations & Financial role at a top 3 tech company (think Apple, Amazon, and/or Google) in a global division that works on new products/ideas.

2 year IB analyst program (generalist) at a BB (think Goldman, JPM)

Thoughts? Don't know what to do.

Agree with above. The answer becomes very easy once you decide which way you want to head down the track. Either will get you to a top MBA if you are a strong all-round applicant.

One piece of advice/my opinion: if you aren't sure what you want to do down the road, go to IB first. You could always go IB---> Corp Fin at a media/tech sort of company if you want to down the road, but it will be much, much tougher (if not impossible) to go from Corp Fin---> investment management if you start at one of the tech firms you mentioned and want to go to IB/IM later.
