Academic Probation - Does it affect background check

Rising senior, target, got a summer analyst offer but currently failing a class. Failing that class would put my on academic probation at my school. Withdrawing from it would put me on academic probation too but probably save my GPA. Anyone has a similar experience? Will the academic probation surface during the employer's background check? The employer specifically requires candidates to be in good academic standing and a probation is obviously not considered good academic standing.

Thanks!
