Accounting at a Boutique

I'm coming to the end of my Sophomore year in college and I recently got an offer to do an accounting type job for a boutique nvestment banking firm with advisory, investment management, and minority broker/dealer businesses over the Summer. I don't have anything else lined up over the Summer except for classes and Summer Leadership programs with Ernst & Young and KPMG.

My ultimate goal is to get into Investment Banking for anything BB, MM, or Boutique. I don't know if I should accept this accounting role though, because I don't know if it will add anything for my I-Banking resume.

I know something is always better than nothing, but my question is if you were to see a resume with accounting at a financial institution on it. Would this make any significant difference for someone interested in I-Banking?

Thanks for any response.
