Actively looking for a new role needed some advice
My job search strategy are as follows
1) Reach out to recruiters via LinkedIn, Apply through job boards like career builder, indeed, eFinancial
2) Send cold emails resume to boutique and regional investment firms. Is that worth it as lot of hedge fund/PE don’t publish job opening at their website? I have lists of boutique investment banking firms, PE/ Hedge Fund as well Equity Research Firms
3) Networking has not helped me a lot. I tried info session and expanding my LinkedIn. I feel it is really not that effective only effective if you worked at same firm or know top level management at the firm which is very hard to get an info session meeting.
4) Any thoughts regarding CFA job board line or other premium job search you recommend? Didn't find Wall Street Oasis job board effective as most jobs are outdated?
So far my best success I have got is through option 1 and 2.
Currently employed at a boutique investment management firm dealing with alternative investment firm as a research analyst but actively looking for a new role possibly early next year as my firm maybe relocating to Atlanta. Ideally want to stay in New York Area. Any assistance would be greatly appreciated
