Adding people you networked with on Linkedin...

Ive had informational/networking calls with some people in the past and would like to add them on LinkedIn to expand my network. I am just not sure what I should indicate our connection to be when sending the request. We didnt go to the same school, dont work at the same firm, didnt do any business together. I dont think theres an option for "acquaintance"

I usually just select friend. I don't think it really matters. In fact, I don't recall ever seeing what the person selected when I receive requests.

"They are all former investment bankers that were laid off in the economic collapse that Nancy Pelosi caused. They have no marketable skills, but by God they work hard."

second this. not sure i am alerted if i was selected as a friend, colleague, former sexual partner, etc so it doesn't matter

Remember, once you're inside you're on your own. Oh, you mean I can't count on you? No. Good!
