Advice for a class of 2021 bio graduate potentially pivoting to a career in finance?
Hello friends,
I am a recent graduate currently working in a medical research lab with the intent on applying to medical school for the 2022 cycle. Recently, I have been wondering if this is the correct career path for me given the pure amount of schooling required.
Is there any feasible way to pivot into a finance-oriented career, IB, HF, management/healthcare consulting (Potentially applying in fall 2022)? My undergraduate work experience has also been in health research.
When I was applying for jobs before deciding to commit to medicine, I did end up interviewing at a few firms but decided on a lab to better facilitate a med school app.
I am concerned that the further I move from my graduation date, the less ability I might have for a finance career without Bschool.
I have graduated from a middle-tier ivy with a 3.9+ in biology.
Thank you for the advice.

You might have a shot at management consulting. IB and HF would be harder, but it doesn’t hurt to try.
