Advice for a meeting with a IB Branch Manager

Hi, lately I have been making cold calls to local investment banks offering volunteering experiences, or asking if I can shadow someone at work. I am going to have a casual meeting with investment bank branch manager. He said that there isn't any volunteering and/or shadowing experiences available but wanted to meet and "discuss the investment industry" with me.

I have never been in such an ambiguous situation before, so far my preparation is doing as much research on the company as possible, but other than that I have no idea what to expect, or make of this meeting. anyone know got any input? how can i maximally leverage this opportunity to get a job? anyone been in similar experience before?

wow, i really have a lot to learn about the financial industry. I am not trying to troll anyone, (I will in the future when I get a job lol) the firm I am going to meet does S&T, IB, and equity research, it is a full service investment firm. And I just wanted to know if anyone had similar experience where they were "invited for a talk", how did you or how would you leverage this opportunity for a job in S&T or IB?

Bring knee-pads and be ready to feel ashamed of yourself for a long time. There wont be much talking going on, but you will be using your mouth.
