Advice for Winter Internship Search

Hey Everyone,

I'm a Finance and Econ double major at SUNY Oswego. This Summer I wasn't able to get an internship in the field and am splitting my time between interning on a Gala Committee and an environmental campaign. This next semester I'm entering my Junior year, so I feel like obtaining an internship this Winter will be necessary for me getting hired next summer and then after I graduate.

If there's one thing I learned from my failed internship search is that I need to step up my game big time. That being said, does anyone have any advice for my Winter search or my future searches in general? Also, which type of internship should I go after? (I live in NYC so my options are many)
