Advice on Path.

I graduated from BYU with a degree in Computer Science. My GPA is pretty low ... 3.0. I have a hookup with the MBA recruiter for their b-school program. It isn't ivy league but it's still in the top 40 MBA programs out there. I don't have any financial experience so he is requiring me to get a job in the financial world for 2 years before I am admitted. With 2 years of financial data modeling experience and an MBA with a STELLAR GPA do you think I stand a chance landing an entry-level job at a major i-bank? I have a friend who is a vp @ JPMorgan who said he would give my resume to the right people. Goldman and a few other major i-bankers recruit for internships @ BYU and I interview very well.

Am I screwed because of my undergrad GPA? Give me your thoughts.

for big companies, vp is nothing. they usually have like 400-500 vp.

especially, for investment banking job, qualifications will get you the job, connection will help somewhat, but i really don't think it would be much
