After applying for a BB S&T SA through your school how long does it take for them to contact you?
I applied to Morgan Stanley, Bank of America, Citigroup, Barclays, and JP Morgan. This was all last week. Getting anxious since I haven't heard anything.
Doesn't your OCR website have a date listed for interview sign ups? Usually you be notified through the site and given the ability to sign up for interviews. When I interviewed, you'd know if you got an interview within the week.
We have something called CareerNet as well as OCR. All of these companies I had applied through CareerNet and not OCR. Does it make a difference?
It should run on the same principle as globan pointed on. Generally you have your resume drop followed by a evaluation period. After this, candidates who are selected have the ability to schedule their interview. If I recall correctly I think I also received an email notifying me to pick a time slot.
When was the deadline for the resume drop?
They had a bunch of different deadlines. The positions I applied to through CareerNet looked just like OCR ones except it doesn't say "interview requested" below the apply button after you submit. Maybe employers go through those after they finish looking through OCR applications?
CareerNet...NYU by any chance? For Careernet jobs, there's nothing you can do except wait for them to contact you. For OCR, there is a set deadline for when they will notify the candidates.
Yep, it's NYU. For CareerNet, if they're not interested do they just ignore you? I hate that. Hope they'll at least inform me that they don't want to hire me...
99% of the time they just won't get back to you. It's definitely unpleasant at first but you get used to it very quickly. Just do your best in the application, and move on. Don't think about the jobs you applied to because most of them will never contact you unless you get an interview.
