After the Interview

Monkeys who have received FT offers:

How long after your final interview did it take before you were contacted by HR or the team with the offer?

If it was more than a day or two, how did you go about following up?

It varies so much that there's really no point of analyzing it. I've had people call me to leave me a voicemail asking them to call them back only to get rejected. I've had people email me after an interview asking me to give them a call so they could provide feedback and then me calling thinking I'm rejected but get an offer instead. I've had responses within one day with a rejection, responses within two weeks with an offer...it's all over the place

I found out I made it to the super day about 3 days later, and I got the offer very shortly after the final round. (To be fair, I had asked for an express decision because I had an exploding offer from somewhere else.) Though from my friends' experience at my school final decisions do seem to come out the night of or next day. I think the longest I have heard of from my friends was Barcap S&T 4 or 5 days later.

EDIT: This was for BB SA.

Buddyfoxanyone have to follow up with HR via e-mail or call?

I've followed up after not hearing for 2 ish weeks (1st round, I wouldn't wait that long after a superday)...but that's rare. And if I had to follow up, every single time, I didn't get the offer.

Sometimes lies are more dependable than the truth.
