I’ve heard a lot of bad things regarding this firm. Is it even worth responding to outreach from them?
I know it’s unlikely to go anywhere, but unsure if ignoring would burn bridges.

They constantly spam you and never actually bring any opportunity. They will also try to learn about your other processes and use it as a BD opportunity to win mandate for them. Learned my lesson the hard way.

I have never heard of anyone getting an interview with Selby. I have heard of a few people getting stuff from Alexander Chapman, despite how sleazy they are.
I (somehow) got an interview with Selby, but can confirm they are the worst. Have heard horror stories subsequently with others and would never risk interacting with them again. Same for AC as well as Dartmouth. The general takeaway is that you should try to avoid recruiters that are openly spamming the role.
Personally I don't mind having Balkan baddies slide in my DMs
Got me an interview at a large shop. The partner basically gave me the run down and showed me the correspondence his group had with AC - they brand your resume with their logo and basically spam the firm. The firm was never hiring in the first place but he was kind enough to chat as my background was relevant to what he does. I echo what other folks have said above RE: asking about other processes to drum up BD opportunities.
I would stay away.
