Am I in the right direction?

hey guys,

I am currently a sophomore at a semi target in NYC. After discovering this site as a freshman, i learned the importance of networking. I took it upon myself and networked in various sectors in Finance, but i focused on Investment Banking. I was able to land two internships, one at a boutique IB in manhattan and another at a small Asset Management firm.

The asset management internship is unstructured/unpaid and is going to be six weeks long in the summer.

The boutique investment bank already started which as of now consists of me completing assignments at home, since they see no reason for me to work in the office because the work i am doing doesn't require me to be there. By the way, staying on top of MD's when you network is extremely helpful. The MD specifically told me he likes my persistent attitude and prefers for aspiring interns to call first and email first etc. This has no end date to my knowledge.

Am i on the right track for junior year recruiting? I feel like even with these two internships, when it comes to junior year recruiting my application to the BB's will appear as average even with a 3.888 gpa. I understand the importance of networking, and i am already compiling a list of who i will be contacting. The one really good thing about the boutique internship is the MD specifically told me that if i do well as an intern, i will become "more than an intern."

Now, am i on the right track?
