Am I screwed?

First time posting so wish me luck.

I am about to graduate from a top London uni with a degree in economics. Did an internship in corporate finance/ dcm/ lev fin (rotational) at a UK bank (RBS). Have another internship within equity research coming at a boutique shop focusing on small/mid caps this summer.

Want to accelerate my career into leveraged finance and eventually private credit. Is it too late to try and land a role at a bank with more of a reputation to maximize my chances of PC down the line? Also wondering what lateral movement would be like coming out of RBS? Would it be worth starting off at a boutique direct lending firm and avoid the corp fi/ dcm route altogether?

Cheers
