Any bank still actively looking for 2022 FT?
Title says all... I know it's little late to ask this question, but by any chance banks are still taking new graduate for their 2022 FT IBD role?
Got nothing in the fall/winter - so also curious about the recruiting after bonus season. Will there be any openings for new grads to apply (graduating in early 2022)?
I think a lot of of regional boutiques will still hire
Bonus season doesn't affect new grads. It's not like their incoming class leaves after bonus lol
Instead of asking if anyone is still looking, get out there and start applying. Use a targeted approach - see who is still open and network hard there. I just looked for 5 minutes on Google Jobs and I see like 20 MM/BB jobs still open. Some are in Tier 2/3 locations, but still IB. These are usually people that reneged, they added 1 spot, etc, so they will run a process quickly and add their one person, but moral of the story is there's openings if you look for them.
So I recently got a return offer for FT ib but would like to switch groups before I start. I have a Chicago offer but would like SF and I see an opening there for my BB FT. How would I go about this?
Lol you would have to talk to the people at your firm but seems unlikely since you already signed with that group
Should I reach out to Hr or the group I'm interested in lateraling into
Edit: the SF group is tech and I know they are drowning in work
Lol no idea. Usually if you are to move groups between SA -> FT it’s before u sign the FT return offer
Go to your group for 1 year and then lateral internally
The time to do this would have been before you signed your FT offer, BBs will let you switch groups but they are definitely not going to let you renege. I wouldn't even ask HR, this is a great way to get your offer rescinded or at minimum totally piss off your group, sorry
Hi, thx for the advice. So true that action makes thing different. I tried do search on LinkedIn and indeed as well - but it seems like banks are looking for 1st year analyst mostly.
Do you think new grads can apply for those positions requiring 1 year working experience?
