Application system status changed - am I in?

I didn't phrase the last topic well so...
The online application system's status changed from "under consideration" to "You have been offered a position". However that change has been for a few days but I haven't received any calls or email about it. Is it possible they have made a mistake or can I safely assume I've got it?

Thanks a lot! This problem's killing me I couldn't sleep well for days :(

I fear calling/emailing them may sound like I'm very desperate. Would that or emailing be a good solution?

Well I am desperate, but I'm afraid they'd reject me for not waiting patiently enough.

You are unclear of your status with them.... Why shouldn't you be able to call? I don't think they'll be like "Oh we accepted this kid, but then he had the nerve to CALL US and double check? GTFO, take him off the list"

I mean, maybe I'm the wrong person to give advice because I can't imagine NOT calling them to verify. I don't think they will be swayed at this point, idk if it works like that.

Disclaimer: I applied to a school (desperate transfer)... never heard back from them at all... no mail, no email, checked status daily, etc.... figured I didn't get in, stopped checking. Checked a few weeks later just to tie up loose ends... status had changed to accepted, and I had missed the enrollment deadline. Fucked.

Moral: Don't be a f*cking retard like me, or ever assume anything when it comes to this shit. Call them.

"That dude is so haole, he don't even have any breath left."

Thanks a lot for that! Will probably check with them in this case! Does anyone know if banks do make the mistake of putting an "accepted" status when it should really be a reject? I'm freaking scared they originally wanted to reject me since after the status change there's no contact from them at all...

Thats why you are hesistant to call. You are insecure about the possibility they made a mistake. Either way you are going to find out the truth, just pick up the phone. I don't think not checking is going to give you better odds of a potential mistake going all the way through.

Gotta say I'm really insecure. I haven't seen anyone that have their status changed to being accepted but not receiving any calls or even emails at all. I do agree though they won't let the mistake go all the way through, so I gotta ask them.

Any cases of banks making a mistake of handing an offer on the internet system and then rejecting later?

What a huge screwup, I emailed the HR responsible (not UK based) and he's not replying or taking calls as he's away, I emailed the UK HR which doesn't have anything to do since I did not apply to UK, ended up the UK HR changed my status back into "Under consideration"... I'll just have to wait till the non-UK HR responsible to be b ack but I fear I have screwed everything up already...
