Applying across divisions
I know its allowed, but will it hurt me if I apply across divisions? Specifically, IBD and Asset Management.

it won't be a disadvantage, generally speaking. you should definitely do it, but you should know which you prefer and why, in case the recruiters ask you. you should also be prepared that, if they like you, then you will probably be channeled into one.
dont do it , it shows a lack of focus and direction. decide what you want to do - then apply to that division at multiple banks.
