Applying to Jobs on LinkedIn

Obviously this is not the best way to go about the job search; however, I've seen a few cool opportunities advertised on LinkedIn. I'm curious whether anyone has gotten any responses from the company after dropping their resume on LinkedIn.

As with the typical post-recession job game, LinkedIn is one of many tools you should be using to grab job offers. Will you grab an interview from Goldman off it (barring extreme circumstances)? Of course not. That being said, there are some pretty nifty jobs out there if you look in the right places. Your goal should to be make sure a human reads your resume. If you can find actual postings where a human will look at your resume, I'd say your odds of getting an interview are anywhere between 1-20%. (Assuming you are a relatively decent fit for the position) Great? No. Better than anything else online? Hell yes! If you get forwarded to a Taleo HR or similar web-app, don't waste your time. I
