Are Finance Degrees Essential in Singapore?
I'm a Singaporean with an upper second-class honours STEM degree from a top British uni. I have been working in London as a consultant at a boutique project finance transaction advisory services firm for more than a year. I'm now looking at returning to Singapore and moving into IB or PE (or even just staying within transaction advisory services). However, I noticed that virtually every job opening in Singapore in these industries requires a finance degree. What's the best way to make up for the fact that I don't have a finance degree? Is it really necessary to get a finance degree? If so, what kind of finance degree would be most suitable?
