Would I be dinged if I don't include references in my application when it is listed among documents that should be submitted in an IB application?
Can I do without adding demand6wd references if I submit other documents like cover letter, undergrad certificate and transcript?

Even if you’re able to submit the application without the references, chances are good HR will follow up and ask you for them. Which makes it look like you didn’t read the instructions clearly. Worst case scenario make a burner email and pretend to be a classmate you worked with on a group project or something.
