Are these people serious?
I reached out to a MD at a firm just trying to set up some time with him on the phone. He forwarded my resume to someone just below him and I got an email about potential "contracting" opportunity.
I already have a full-time job with benefits and I am obviously only interested in a full-time job. Why would I leave a full-time job for a temporary job? Do I still talk with them on the phone and see what they offer?
No point in not talking to them. You could at least bring up that you're looking for a lateral move to another full-time position. Worst case scenario is they hang up, which probably won't happen if you are cordial.
"Contracting". They want you to be their new hitman, mostly your going to being taking out the heads of other firms. Can pay well, will be a good supplement to your primary income
