ASIAN MALES have it the wost in Finance

A lot of my east asian male colleagues think that the finance world is unfair to them.

On one hand they don't get that "white advantage", on the other hand, to reach diversity targets, firms try to hire more women.

Is it true less qualified women get the IBD, HF, PE positions just cause they are women?!!

Thoughts???

Shit like lowering the bar for female candidates gets my blood boiling. Do people realize the disdain that comes from working your ass off only to see the job/internship go to someone just because they're fucking female?

Yeah, it's hard. Only makes me stronger and grind harder tho. Power to us.

I tell you what, I work at MNC in Asia and it’s the same shit. We are all hiring for diversity to the stage it’s almost discriminatory against males, and if Asian male for an mid-senior position it’s practically impossible. Entry level would fare better but you’re at a disadvantage against a female.

I tried applying for a job at a competitor only to be told by the recruiter that the company were seeking women to fill the 2 available roles.
