Asking contacts for a meet up/coffee chat

Accepted an offer for SA23 in LDN. Talked to a few people at the firm that were very nice and am wondering whether I could reach out to them to meet up for a coffee or a phone call to stay in touch before the internship.

How often/how much in advance of the internship should I meet/speak with them?

Do I need to have lots of questions prepared or can we just chat?

Am kinda lost so would appreciate any advice.

Don't force it, if you haven't got anything meaningful to say then don't reach out lol. You could always ask for advice though and what they recommend you go over before your summer.

I accepted a full time offer at a bank, without doing the internship, which I’m starting in a couple weeks. I only had like one contact at the firm I actually knew. That contact has since quit. So I have no contacts lol and Im not making them until I start. Just gonna show up as a complete stranger and will get to know people on the job. So to answer your question, no there’s no need to do pointless pre-work networking. They’re busy people and you already have the job.
