at a target on east coast trying for west coast offices
Hello, I'm a current freshman at uchicago, and I want to recruit for SF offices to be closer to family for my junior summer analyst role. will this mean that on campus recruiting will not be very useful for me? I know I'll be at a disadvantage because I'm not a Cal/Stanford so I won't be able to coffee chat and network in person... does being at uchicago give me the best odds at chicago offices? just looking for general advice on how to recruit for an office that isn't near my university at all, even if I'm at a target. thanks!
Hey man, on campus recruiting will still be useful but you can definitely land west coast if you have a good why SF answer (which you already do since you have family). West coast offices tend to be more laid back and they really look for fit so in your coffee chats and outreach emails, emphasize on your west coast background. Best of luck!
If I'm dead set on SF offices is it useful at all to go to OCR events?
