Back office AM exit ops

I currently work as an analyst in the office of the CIO at an investment management fund; my main tasks are IC support, like material prep, investment transaction pipeline stuff, and operation-related tasks for asset class strategies. Does anyone have any suggestions on possible exit opportunities or general career development? Is it possible to transition into a front office role? Thanks in advance.
