Background Check: Tricky Situation, International NGO that shut down due to adequate funding
Hey,
I'm applying for the typical finance roles (consulting/ib) etc. On my resume I've listed an ngo that I started say 10 years ago which lasted around 5 years but then had to shut down due to adequate funding (been around 5 years since it shut down). How will background check approach this? I intend to listing this on the resume because even though it failed, I learned quite a lot and am still proud of it. Will it be through references, documentation etc? Truth be told I'm not sure if I can even find the documentation because its been so long (though I probably can)?
Thanks for the help!
