BB Analyst Program recruiting?

Hey Guys, I need some advices on this possible opportunity to get an interview at a BB. I recently graduated in May but I am hopping to the new recruiting season and wonder if I still qualify for the BB recruiting for next yr. I had a couple interviews over summer with some BB, MM and a couple trading firms but it didn't turn out well. I came from a non-target midwest college, so it is very hard for me to even get interviews. Any advice on how i approach this opportunity is appreciated! Thank you.

I'm not an expert, but I think it's safe to say that you are still technically "okay" for next year's round of recruiting at most major banks. From what I hear there is generally a cut off of 3 years post graduation for new analyst. That being said, it is not at all easy to make the grade and get interviews etc if you're not on the standard track. In my mind, the best idea for you would be to try and get a job at a smaller (but hopefully still reputable) bank that has a less structured recruiting process. You might be able to transfer in as a second or third year analyst if you get lucky and have strong enough transaction experience at the smaller bank.

Failing that option, just try to get some solid, name-brand experience in a related industry. If you get into a good business school, you'll have another shot at BB as associate.

How did you get interviews coming from a non-target midwest college? That's impressive.

People tend to think life is a race with other people. They don't realize that every moment they spend sprinting towards the finish line is a moment they lose permanently, and a moment closer to their death.
