Best S&T Learning Opps

I'd like to find a brokerage where I can really learn. I am not asking or expecting BB or anything of the like (although that would be nice). Out of college I worked at a small research firm until a business opportunity presented itself and I took it, but am now in the process of selling that company. After the sale of my company I should have some financial breathing room where I can take a job without high comp in order to sharpen my skills, learn, and make as many connections as possible. I know that my best bet will be boutiques, but does anyone have some more narrow suggestions e.g. companies? My interest lies in S&T, emphasis on S.

Some background: As I mentioned, I used to work at a research firm in the hedge fund vertical after college. Through that role (not ER, more qualitative than quantitative) I have had exposure to public equity markets and how they function. Day to day I would speak with my clients who were typically HF analysts and sometimes PMs. I have a decent understanding of markets and can more or less hold my own in any conversation regarding equities. I have some experience with financial modeling, mostly pro forma revenue and things of that nature. No real A/D, LBO, etc. I went to a T5 public but did not major in finance - I thought I was going to go to law school and my GPA in finance wasn't high enough to go where I wanted to go.

Any guidance would be greatly appreciated
